ML open-source software: ILP

MLnet OiS: the MLnet Online Information Service is the successor of the ML-Archive at GMD.

ILPnet2 is a network of universities carrying out research on ILP. It organises ILP-related events, maintains an on-line bibliography of publications and in general promotes tighter cooperation among its academic research partners as well as between them and potential end-users, industrial or academic. It is the follow-up to ILPnet (1993-6).

No resources, algorithms or code are posted there, but there is a list of all university departments or research groups involved, with pointers to their web sites.

ILP-2 is an ESPRIT project involving seven universities.

1BC: a first-order Bayesian classifier.

The Machine Learning group of the KTH/Stockholm University participates in the ILP ESPRIT project. The MERLIN regular language system they have built induces a hypothesis from an overly general working hypothesis.

CProgol and Aleph are implementation of the Progol ILP algorithm.

Learning Computational Grammars (LCG)

LCG was a TMR project that ran from 1998 till 2002. Its aim was to research the applicability of various machine learning techniques on the task of noun phrase recognition and parsing (assignment of internal structure).

Most of the work done within LCG was in English, although it is hoped that some of the results will be cross-linguistically interesting.
