Milestones:
Step 1: Registration to the contest (since you have registered, you will receive all necessary data and will be informed of any updates, news etc.) (open until 20/03/2013) CLOSED
Step 2: A training dataset toolkit (both for text line and word detection) will be sent to all registered participants (150 images written in Greek and English language as well as 50 images written in Indian Bangla language along with the ground truth and the evaluation software) (just after registering)
Step 3: All registered users is required to submit two executables (one for text line detection and one for word detection) in the form of Win32 console application as well as a draft description of their text line and word detection methodology. (by 01/04/2013 08/04/2013) CLOSED
Step 4: The testing dataset (both for text line and word detection) will be sent to all registered participants (by 30/04/2013 01/06/2013)
Step 5: Final contest results to be announced at the ICDAR 2013 conference. A report on the competition will be published in the ICDAR conference proceedings.
