Welcome to my website

I work as a research associate at the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications of the National Center for Scientific Research (NCSR) "Demokritos", in Athens, Greece, where I work with the Complex Event Recognition group. I recently defended my PhD in machine learning. Before joining NCSR I worked as a software developer, and even before that I completed an MSc. in Logic and Computation and a BSc. in Mathematics. My research is mostly on machine learning, artificial intelligence and complex event recognition.

I've been involved in several research projects so far (FP7 and H2020), participating in the development of intelligent systems for challenging application domains, such as transport management, maritime surveillance, credit card fraud detection, assisted living, ambient intelligence and knowledge extraction from social networks.

My publications may be found at Google Scholar and DBLP. All of my publications are available for download from the web page of the Complex Event Recognition group at NCSR or my ResearchGate profile. My open source projects are freely available from my GitHub repository. Also, you can find more info (e.g. research projects I've participated in so far) from my LinkedIn page.
