The application was designed and developed for the AXA insurance
company and deployed in the new AXA site in Utrecht. The Scheduler
allows the AXA employees to compose a message, by selecting
up to two images/video clips and a message and finally to preview
it. Furthermore, the application schedules the message in an
available timeslot selected by the user.
The interior deign of each floor of the AXA building draws from a specific theme e.g. the 1st floor's theme is
Antarctica, the 2nd's the oceans, and so on. Since the Scheduler is deployed on every floor, its background
matches the interior design theme i.e. the application background and the color scheme follow the interior design
decision.

The application's interface consists of 5 screens, each one responsible for controlling and setting
a feature of the message. Date and time of the message is set in the first screen, the second screen
controls is used to set the one, two or none images/video clips from a set of 25 images/video clips;
the user can choose from 20 sets. The text message is selected in the third screen; there are 10
text messages per set and there are 10 available sets. The system administrators can compose and save
maximum 10 text messages. The fourth screen allows the users to sign their message, and the last screen
displays a preview of the message with save/go back functions present.

The Scheduler is designed and implemented using C++ and the Win32 API and deployed on 17 Windows clients
and a Windows 2000 Server. Image, video manipulation and
overall presentation are done via the DirectX API. Since the Scheduler is deployed on every floor of the
AXA building, the image sets, text messages sets, background images and scheduling information are stored
in a LAN-wide server.
